Condensed Matter Physics (DUT-BSU Joint Training Mode)

The condensed matter physics of the DUT-BSU Joint Institute is jointly taught by the School of Physics of DUT and the Teaching and Research Section of Solid State Physics of BSU. Relying on the scientific research platform of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education on Three Beams of Material Modification and the Research Center of Magnetic Confinement Fusion of the Ministry of Education, the Physics Department of DUT now has a first-level doctoral program and a post-doctoral mobile station in physics. Over the past five years, the discipline has undertaken more than 100 national-level longitudinal projects. Under the Teaching and Research Section of Solid State Physics at BSU, some research laboratories have been established to promote the development of the physics such as “solid ion-plasma physics” research laboratory and the “Material Performance Variation” student research laboratory.

Optical Engineering (DUT-BSU Joint Training Mode)

The cultivation of the master's degree in optical engineering at DUT-BSU Joint Institute is jointly cooperated by the School of Optoelectronic Engineering and Instrument Science of DUT and the Department of Laser Physics and Spectroscopy of the BSU. The subject has formed advantages and characteristics in the fields of Optical Fiber Sensing Technology, Microwave Photonics, Laser Spectroscopy and Laser Remote Sensing Technology in China, and has undertaken dozens of major projects. Holographic Laboratory of the Department of Laser Physics and Spectroscopy at BSU has two advanced holographic systems, which can be used in the holographic and nonlinear optics experiments and conducive to cultivating optical talents with both theory and practice.

Engineering Mechanics (DUT-BSU Joint Training Mode)

The engineering mechanics of the DUT-BSU Joint Institute is cooperatively run by the Faculty of Vehicle Engineering and Mechanics of DUT and the Department of Theory and Applied Mechanics of BSU. As a national key discipline, the Department of Engineering Mechanics of DUT relies on the State Key Laboratory of Structural Analysis for Industrial Equipment. In the past five years, it has undertaken and completed a number of national scientific research projects and engineering application projects. The Department of Theory and Applied Mechanics of BSU has conducted a large number of cooperative basic research and applied research with enterprises and organizations of Belarus, Russia and other countries within the framework of the national plan, which provides strength for the development of this discipline.
