In order to promote the development of scientific and technological innovation between China and Belarus, the second meeting of the Science and Technology Cooperation Subcommittee of the China-Belarus Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee gave major promotion and support to the "Dalian University of Technology and Belarusian State University Research and Innovation Center" in September 2018. In January 2019, Dalian University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as“DUT”) and Belarusian State University (hereinafter referred to as“BSU”) signed Cooperation Agreement between Dalian University of Technology and Belarusian State University on Establishing Research and Innovation Center.
In May 2020, DUT received a notice from the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology on issuing the 2020 Liaoning Provincial Key Research and Development Plan. The "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Project declared by the DUT-BSU Joint Institute as the main responsible unit, "Dalian University of Technology and Belarusian State University Research and Innovation Center" was successfully approved.
Dalian University of Technology and Belarusian State University Research and Innovation Center focuses on 6 aspects, including Computational Mechanics and Engineering Scientific Computing, Major Engineering and Industrial Equipment Structure, Micro-nano Satellites and Advanced Propulsion Technology, Optoelectronic, Instruments and Systems, Plasma Physics and Applications, Quantum Physics and Nanophysics.

In the next stage, DUT and BSU will further refine the cooperative research plan, condense the results of cooperation, continuously enrich and improve the construction of the international platform for scientific research cooperation between DUT and BSU, and contribute to the university’s "double first-class" construction.
