On the morning of October 15 (local time), the 8th Meeting of the Joint Administrative Committee of the DUT-BSU Joint Institute of Dalian University of Technology (“DBJI”) and the 6th Meeting of the Joint Administrative Committee of the BSU-DUT Joint Institute of Belarusian State University (“JIBD”) were held in Conference Room 108 of the Confucius Institute Building of Belarusian State University. Xiang Changle, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dalian University of Technology, Andrei Karol, Rector of Belarusian State University, Dzmitry Kurlovich, Deputy Rector of Belarusian State University, Kochyn Victar, Deputy Rector of Belarusian State University and all members of the Joint Administrative Committee attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Kochyn Victar.
Xiang Changle highly praised the remarkable achievements made by the DBJI and the JIBD in talent cultivation, scientific research innovation and cultural exchanges. Meanwhile, he pointed out that Dalian University of Technology looks forward to deepening and expanding cooperation with Belarusian State University, and jointly writing a new chapter of prosperous and accelerated development for both universities.
Andrei Karol stated that the DBJI and the JIBD are important components of Belarusian State University's internationalization strategy and also models of educational exchanges between China and Belarus. He expressed the expectation to carry out in-depth cooperation with Dalian University of Technology in more fields in the future, so as to jointly cultivate high-quality talents with international vision and innovative capabilities.
At the meeting, Ji Shunying, Dean of the DBJI, and Liudmila Liashenka, Dean of the JIBD, delivered work reports respectively. The meeting reviewed the 2024-2025 Academic Year Work Report and 2025-2026 Academic Year Work Plan Report of the two joint institutes, and discussed matters related to cooperative education.
Relevant heads from International, the School of International Education, the School of Mathematical Sciences, the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Dalian University of Technology attended the meeting.
