To deepen the connotation of the themed education "Understanding Contemporary China", gain an on-site understanding of the profound historical and cultural heritage and glorious revolutionary traditions in Southern Liaoning, and help foreign faculty gain a deeper insight into China's National Conditions and enhance cultural identity, on October 18, 2025, representatives of foreign faculty from DBJI went to Fuzhou Ancient City to carry out a practical investigation activity themed "Approaching Ancient Cities in Southern Liaoning, Understanding the Original Aspiration of the Communists".

The activity kicked off with a warm welcome ceremony featuring the Northeast China Yangko Dance. The faculty visited the Jia Lian Guo Xing Education Museum, which showcases the historical demeanor and cultural heritage of Southern Liaoning through four chapters. Here, Mr. Chen Shifang, the sixth-generation inheritor of Fuzhou Drum Song, and her team presented a wonderful intangible cultural heritage performance. The faculty not only enjoyed the Fuzhou Drum Song and Shadow Play but also had in-depth interactions and exchanges with Mr. Chen.

Subsequently, the faculty visited Hengshan Academy (the earliest academy in Southern Liaoning), the Zhizhou Magistrate's Office, and the Fu Jingyang Deeds Exhibition Hall, gaining a deep understanding of the historical background of Fuzhou Ancient City. Finally, they visited Yongfeng Pagoda, the earliest ancient pagoda in Dalian, and experienced the charm of ancient architecture.

This practice activity enabled the foreign faculty to develop a more concrete and profound understanding of the history and revolutionary spirit of Southern Liaoning. DBJI will continue to innovate the forms and enrich the content of activities, regularly carry out Education on China's National Conditions for foreign faculty, and build a platform for teachers coming to China to gain an in-depth understanding of contemporary China and Chinese culture.
