DUT-BSU Joint Institute hosted its 2025 Annual Academic Conference, themed “Deepen the Integration of Science, Education, and Innovation; Co-create Excellence in Development”, on December 10–11, 2025. The event aimed to further deepen practical China-Belarus cooperation across scientific and technological innovation, discipline development, and multi-tiered talent cultivation. More than 80 experts and scholars from domestic and foreign universities and research institutions attended the conference, including Dalian University of Technology, Dalian Polytechnic University, Belarusian State University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, and Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna. Feng Baojun, Chief Accountant of Dalian University of Technology, Yan Jun, Dean of the School of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering, Sergei Bosiakov, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Belarusian State University, and Chen Yu, Dean of the Joint Institute of Dalian Polytechnic University and Belarusian State Technological University, attended the conference and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was hosted by Ji Shunying, Dean of the DBJI.

At the opening ceremony, Feng Baojun fully affirmed the achievements made in the cooperative education between China and Belarus, summarized the important measures taken by the DBJI in promoting scientific research cooperation and exchanges between the two countries in recent years, and looked forward to deepening scientific research cooperation between the two countries in the future, continuously building high-level cooperative research teams, and jointly advancing the construction of the "Belt and Road". On behalf of the School of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering, Yan Jun extended a warm welcome to the teachers and students attending the conference and introduced the school's achievements in talent training, scientific research, and serving the country's major strategic needs. Sergei Bosiakov, representing Belarusian State University, highly praised the profound friendship and cooperation achievements between the two universities. He emphasized the intention to deepen practical cooperation in talent training, discipline construction, and academic exchanges, and to collaborate with DUT to establish a more advanced platform for academic exchange and cooperation. Speaking for the China-Belarus joint cooperative institutions, Chen Yu emphasized the critical role of China-Belarus collaboration in talent development and scientific research, while also expressing sincere appreciation to Dalian University of Technology for establishing such an open, practice-oriented platform for international exchange and cooperation.

In the keynote speech and parallel forum sessions, 20 experts and scholars, including Sergei Bosiakov from Belarusian State University, Vladimir Mordachev from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Li Dawei and Yan Ziming from Dalian University of Technology, delivered special reports. Experts and scholars from China, Russia, and Belarus conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on research hotspots and cutting-edge directions in related fields.

After the conference, experts from Belarusian State University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, and Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna held further exchanges with relevant professional directors and researchers from the School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Economics and Management, School of Electrical Engineering, and School of Integrated Circuits on research work in their professional fields and subsequent cooperation.
Since 2021, the Annual Academic Conference has been successfully held for 5 sessions, which has effectively promoted the coordinated development of China-Belarus cooperation in discipline co-construction, talent co-cultivation, and technological innovation. The participation of experts and scholars from Russia, other universities, and enterprises in this year's academic conference marks that China-Belarus international cooperation has entered a new stage of improving quality and efficiency. As the "Belt and Road" initiative moves towards a new cycle of high-quality development, DBJI will further expand the dimensions of international cooperation, strengthen scientific and technological collaborative innovation, and continue to create a new paradigm for international educational cooperation.
