To strengthen the development of the foreign faculty team and boost communication between Chinese and international faculty, DBJI held a fall-2026 meeting for foreign faculty on the morning of September 16 at Room D263, Haichuan Building.

Attendees included Professor Ji Shunying, Party Branch Secretary and Dean of the institute; Professor Gao Junfeng, Vice-Dean; Professor Ma Donghan, Deputy Party Branch Secretary and Vice-Dean; administrative staff from DBJI General Office; as well as nine foreign faculty from Belarusian State University.

On behalf of the institute, Dean Ji Shunying extended a warm welcome to the visiting foreign faculty and briefed them on the institute’s progress. He acknowledged the critical contributions made by Belarusian faculty to the institute’s steady advancement and expressed sincere gratitude for their hard work. He voiced hopes that the foreign teachers would enjoy a rewarding teaching experience and comfortable life on campus in the new semester, and work with the institute to improve the quality of international-oriented talent training.

Vice-Dean Gao Junfeng presented the teaching arrangements and relevant requirements for the semester. He stressed standardization of teaching documents and procedures, and encouraged foreign teachers to adopt cutting-edge disciplinary insights to innovate teaching approaches and boost classroom engagement, so as to elevate the institute’s overall international teaching standards.

Vice-Dean Ma Donghan outlined rules for student administration. She urged foreign faculty to gain deeper understanding of students, foster a rigorous, inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere, and support students’ holistic development.

During open discussion, foreign faculty shared frank insights on teaching and research. Institute representatives listened closely to their feedback and addressed each raised question point-by-point.

This gathering deepened mutual understanding and trust between Chinese and international faculty, laying solid groundwork for smooth operations in the new semester. Moving forward, the institute will keep refining services and administration for foreign faculty, strengthen their sense of belonging and team cohesion, and jointly build an open, inclusive and collaborative community for international education.
