On March 22, 2021, DUT-BSU Joint Institute Dalian University of Technology was approved by the Ministry of Education to set up 3 master's programs and 5 doctor's programs, and planned to start enrolling students in 2021. At this point, DBJI officially became a Chinese-Foreign cooperative institution with a comprehensive training system of bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree.

According to the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools and its implementation measures, the three newly added master's joint programs are: Condensed Matter Physics, Engineering Mechanics and Optical Engineering; The five newly added joint doctoral programs are Physics, Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, Optical Engineering, and Economic System Analysis and Management (see the table below).

All the above joint programs will be taught in English, and the graduates can obtain the globally recognized diploma, degree certificate of Dalian University of Technology and degree certificate of Belarusian State University. Academic education for master's and doctoral students will be included in the national enrollment plan for master's and doctoral students, participate in the national unified entrance examination for master's and doctoral students, and be admitted in accordance with the national enrollment policy for master's and doctoral students.

Since its establishment in 2017, DUT-BSU Joint Institute has been highly valued and supported by the governments and universities of China and Belarus. DBJI will further operate in accordance with the laws and regulations, implement construction requirements of the Communist Party of China, respond to the national opening up strategy, effectively introduce high-quality education resources from Belarus, serve the comprehensive reform of higher education, strengthen the educational communication and cooperation between China and Belarus, and cultivate more high-level compound international elites for China and Belarus.
