From 3 to 6 December 2023, the final of China International College Students’ Innovation Competition 2023 (CICSIC) was held in Tianjin University. The project “Jiachuang Pilot” of DUT-BSU Joint Institute won the gold medal (the first gold medal of the international track in Liaoning Province), which is a new best result for the Institute in this event. For the first time, our university has achieved a breakthrough with a gold medal among international entries in CICSIC. So far, DUT-BSU Joint Institute has won a total of 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals in the competitions.

    DUT-BSU Joint Institute attaches great importance to the cultivation of international innovative talents, and actively prepares for the organization of the competition. Immediately after the end of the last competition, the institute held an advancement meeting, organizing and planning ahead to carry out the project selection and breeding work for the new competition. After the mobilization meeting for the 2023 competition was held in February this year, 14 Sino-Belarusian teams were finally formed after layers of selection, 4 special training sessions were held, and experts from both inside and outside the university were invited for “one-on-one” guidance. Taking the China-Belarus International Summer Camp as an opportunity, we organized laboratory visits, thematic discussions, simulated presentations and other intensive training activities to deepen team cooperation and project maturity. The institute has nurtured talents via competitions, promoted learning via competitions and spurred actions with competitions, thus stimulating the unlimited creative enthusiasm and vitality of young students.
