To enhance cultural exchange and mutual understanding between faculty and students of Chinese and Belarusian institutions, the DUT-BSU Joint Institute (DBJI) and the Belarus-China Institute jointly organized the "Embracing October: A Joint Canvas of Culture - China-Belarus Cultural Week" series. The opening ceremony was successfully held on the evening of October 15.
Ji Shunying, Dean of DBJI, Gao Junfeng, Vice Dean of DBJI, Denis Marmysh, Vice Dean from the Belarusian side, Liudmila Liashenka, Dean of BDJI of Belarusian State University, Konstantin Kozadaev, former Vice President of Belarusian State University, faculty representatives of Belarusian State University and international students attended the event. The launching ceremony was presided over by Guo Shuhong, Vice Dean of DBJI.

In his opening address, Ji Shunying remarked, "Over the years, the two universities have progressed from initial collaborative education programs to today's comprehensive partnership encompassing profound cultural and academic exchanges, achieving fruitful results." He further emphasized, "DBJI will continue working hand in hand with our Belarusian partners to establish broader platforms that will elevate bilateral cooperation in education, science & technology, culture and other fields to new heights."
Denis Marmysh highlighted the increasing academic exchanges and strengthened research cooperation between the institutions. He expressed sincere appreciation for the cultural integration programs organized by Dalian University of Technology, which have helped Belarusian faculty better understand Chinese culture and adapt to local life.

The ceremony featured a keynote lecture by Dr. Zhao Huirong, Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Her presentation, "Ten years of Belt and Road Construction in Belarus: Progress and prospects" comprehensively analyzed the history, current status and future of Sino-Belarusian cooperation. This academic event, co-hosted by DBJI and the Belarus Research Center, served as one of the highlights of the Cultural Week program.



As a key bridge in the educational partnership between Dalian University of Technology and Belarusian State University, DBJI attaches great importance to international cooperation and exchanges. The Cultural Week program includes: Traditional Chinese cultural experiences, Belarusian Culture Lecture, and Chinese Culture Tour. Through these activities, participants from both countries will deepen their appreciation of each other's cultures, strengthen international friendships, and collectively create new chapters in cross-cultural understanding.
