From May 19 to 22, 2025, DBJI organized the 2025 Belarusian State Exam. As a distinctive feature of China-Belarus cooperative education, the Belarusian State Exams serve as a crucial assessment to verify students' professional competencies. Composed of evaluation experts from the Belarusian State Exam Committee and professional faculty from Dalian University of Technology, the exams were conducted simultaneously online and offline. In accordance with standards set by the Belarusian Ministry of Education, the exams comprehensively evaluated students' theoretical literacy and practical abilities. The content covered core professional courses, with a focus on examining students' capabilities to solve real-world engineering and scientific problems.
To ensure fairness and impartiality, DBJI formulated a detailed exam administration plan in advance, strictly standardizing each procedure. During the exams, the testing venues maintained orderly discipline, and students responded with composure, demonstrating solid professional foundations and excellent comprehensive qualities. A total of 77 students from the 2025 classes of Applied Physics and Engineering Mechanics passed the exams and obtained graduation certificates from Belarusian State University, reflecting DBJI's outstanding achievements in cross-cultural education and cooperative education.

From June 3 to 6, the 2025 undergraduate graduation thesis defense was successfully held. The defense was divided into two majors—Engineering Mechanics and Applied Physics—with a total of 7 defense groups. Ji Shunying, Dean of DBJI, and Gao Junfeng, Vice Dean, served as the team leaders for the Engineering Mechanics and Applied Physics defense panels, respectively. They jointly conducted a rigorous evaluation of the graduation theses with the supervisors from both DUT and BSU.

During the defense, students presented their research achievements in English, with topics combining theoretical depth and practical value. Defense panels rigorously assessed the theses from multiple dimensions, including topic significance, research methods, and innovative outcomes, providing comprehensive comments and guidance on scientific validity, logical coherence, and academic norms. Based on the thesis quality, on-site presentations, and defense performances, all 80 students from the two majors successfully passed the defense, fully demonstrating their professional literacy and practical capabilities.

With the commitment to the concept of "high standards and strict requirements," DBJI makes full use of the excellent educational resources from DUT and BSU. Consequently, a joint training system that attaches equal importance to theory and practice has been established. The successful completion of the Belarusian State Exam and graduation thesis defense marks fruitful achievements in DBJI's talent cultivation and further consolidates its characteristics of international education. In the future, DBJI will continue to deepen Sino-Belarusian educational cooperation, optimize the talent cultivation model, and contribute more interdisciplinary talents to the "Belt and Road" Initiative.
